About Dr. Carrie Landin

I am a licensed psychologist in the state of Colorado. I have been a practicing psychologist for almost 20 years. It is an honor to work with my clients, and I love what I do.

A little bit about my educational background…. I received my Bachelor’s of Science degree in Psychology from Oklahoma City University. I went on to earn my Master’s degree in 2001 and my Doctorate degree in 2003, both in Clinical Psychology from the University of Denver, Graduate School of Professional Psychology. I completed my doctoral internship at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo, Counseling Services. I completed my post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Rochester Medical Center, Department of Psychiatry. I went on to work at the University of Vermont, Counseling Center as a staff psychologist and interim director of the Alcohol and other Drug Services and the Sports Psychology, Performance Enhancement Services.

My love of Colorado brought me back here, where I worked for two years at the University of Northern Colorado’s Counseling Center as a staff psychologist and then Training Director. For the following 13 years, I served the patients at the UCHealth Integrative Medicine Center where I specialized in mind-body treatment for medical and behavioral health concerns. Currently, in addition to providing services through Lightbrook Psychology, LLC, I am full-time clinical faculty at the University of Denver, Graduate School of Professional Psychology (GSPP). There, I am also the Director of the Psy.D. Practicum Program and the APA accredited DU, GSPP Pre- doctoral Internship Consortium. My clinical foci include health psychology, stress and pain management, anxiety reduction, relationship concerns, and adjustment to illness. I specialize in mindfulness-based psychotherapy.

Apart from my professional work, I love spending time with my kids and my Golden Retriever. I love running, hiking, camping and creative writing. I have a running podcast called “Half Chafed,” which focuses on running, parenting and mid-life challenges.
